The Rising Few are finally celebrating the launch of their new EP, Adult Entertainment with the sponsorship of Hennessy at Le Plateau Lounge, W hotel, Montreal.

It’s a ‘no cover’ entry at the gorgeous Plateau Lounge, W hotel in Montreal’s old port for a classy 5à7 with opening act Joshua Carrey and Paul Mascarenhas of Po Lazarus at 5:30pm.
The Rising Few then take the stage with special guests on various instruments to showcase the new material of their songbook Adult Entertainment.

The launch will also be in a gallery-like setting with a hand drawn replica of the massive mural painted by THE RISING FEW vocalist Karim Terouz  up for auction along with installation art. Plus on location at the event, THE RISING FEW will be joined by The Vocalist Magazine/ Bell Media for a documentary show that highlights Montreal artists on Bell Fibe TV.

The History of Gunpowder is a five piece experimental rock band from Montreal. Drawing inspiration from blues, soul, jazz, funk and punk, the music exists as an ordered chaos; elevated by the band’s affiliation with Montreal’s finest burlesque dancers and performance artists, who often perform original numbers alongside the band. The live performances are unpredictable, highly visual affairs that blend genres and unconventional compositional styles, making the History of Gunpowder a thrilling alternative to the typical live music experience. The Rising Few
The Rising few are an eclectic Montreal band with a Springsteen-inflected sound of R&B-based rock-and-roll lead by Cairo born illustrator Karim Terouz.
Terouz’s commanding voice has a bit of a Tom Waits rasp and David Bowie waver to it.
‘’We’re all really recent immigrants here” sais Karim as he describes his crew as a band of young men from scattered points (Armenia, Russia, Brazil, Haiti and Quebec) that seem to converge in their shared love for melodically constructed storytelling.
A wave of infectious good feelings comes through the band’s music, trading solos that feel like good friends having a jam session.
